The harrier is a beautiful large bird of prey, which likes to make its nest in the tall reeds along the water's edge. It flies off and on with nesting material. Dry grass, long reeds and smaller branches are all suitable for building its large nest. For weeks he is busy with it, very early in the morning, at sunrise. Every morning I was on the lookout early with my camera and a nice lens with a wide zoom range so that these big birds were not disturbed during this important period for them. It takes a lot of patience to take pictures like these, they may fly off and on regularly, but there are longer periods between the moments of approach from half an hour to as much as an hour. Only to suddenly reappear with the finest nesting material in their beaks or talons. The moment the harrier approaches is quickly over again, so staying focused is important, otherwise you might just miss the best moment. The harrier in this photo has found several smaller branches for its nest, and flies into the rising sun with them. This makes it stand out beautifully against the background of reeds and trees! A beautiful image for on the wall.
