Harlingen, Zuiderhaven - lighthouse
Zuiderhaven in the city of Harlingen is a harbour and street in the harbour area of Harlingen.
In 1644, the Admiralty of Friesland settled on Zuiderhaven. On the night of 13 February 1771, the building burned down. The Zuiderhaven lies on the south side of the Oude Buitenhaven and has a length of 500 metres. On the east side near the Rozengracht is the Kleine Sluis lock. There are 26 national monuments on Zuiderhaven, including the Sint-Michaelkerk and vicarage (Zuiderhaven 75-77), built in 1881.
