This picture was taken on a sunny autumn afternoon in Bodmann-Ludwigshafen on Lake Constance, even though the first glance suggests a dull and foggy winter morning.
The image is especially captivating because of its clarity (despite the fog) and the tripartition into harbor facilities, lake with sailing ship and the town in the background - each with the quasi-permeability of the harbor railings and the haze itself. This tripartition is deliberately reunited by the sepia effect, so that the color brings all three elements together again.
The sailboat, as the only element with white sails as an accent, occupies only a small part of the image, but immediately catches the eye.
