Lively bustle in old walls, a medieval townscape with idyllic half-timbered houses, narrow alleyways and cobblestone of cobblestones.
Monschau is the cultural center of an entire region and one of the most popular vacation and excursion destinations in the Eifel.
Monschau is located in a valley where the River Ruhr winds its way through the village.
The German Christmas movie ÜberWeihnachten was shot in Monschau, the village that is also called the Christmas Village. So the village in summer and winter very popular with tourists.
