About ‘HEAVENLY BIRD II’ by Pia Schneider

HEAVENLY BIRD II – Series
Not everyone can visualise, when looking at a picture, how it might look with a different framing, from a different perspective or in a different format. That’s why I’ve deliberately included various versions of this motif here – so you can see straight away how the composition and mood change depending on the framing, and find the version that best suits your wall and the feel of your room.

1. HEAVENLY BIRD II
The origin of the series – the complete composition of a cloudy sky and a bird, in the classic portrait format.
The story behind it: This work speaks of longing, freedom and peace. I have created surreal, abstract, almost luminous cloud textures in soft whites, blues and yellows – a heavenly backdrop that hovers between dream and reality. This is combined with an old bird print from a natural history copperplate engraving dating from around 1860 (in the public domain, from the collection of The Graphics Fairy), depicting a bird perched on a twig – which I have incorporated into my own artistic style.

Since 1999, Pia Schneider has devoted her life to creative work – she began her career in Düsseldorf and Dortmund, where she developed her distinctive style in textile and graphic design. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
