The Gullfoss is a waterfall in the Hvítá (White River) in southern Iceland. It is one of Iceland's most popular waterfalls and is easily accessible (by car). The waterfall is part of the Golden Circle, a favourite round-trip tour of Þingvellir, the Geysir and the Gullfoss that can be covered from Reykjavik in one day, and is partly because of this, one of Iceland's most famous tourist spots.
