On a street in Athens's bohemian neighbourhood Koukaki, we ran into this vintage car.
My grandfather used to be the proud owner of a dark green and later a white Beetle and I was almost as enthusiastic about his cars's as he was. We all used to drive to Spain in them. Windows open and picnicking and picking poppies on the way. A great childhood memory.
This beetle stood in an exotic setting in this pretty little street, where steps lead to houses and Mediterranean planting adorns the facade. Green by green.
