About the artwork

The Grand Canyon (Spanish: Gran Cañón) is a very wide and deep gorge in the northern US state of Arizona. Over millions of years, water from the Colorado River created this gorge in the landscape. This extreme erosion became possible because the area in which the gorge lies kept rising. The Colorado River erodes the material of the bottom of the canyon by about 16 cm every 1,000 years. The canyon is about 435 kilometres long and has a width that varies between 15 and 29 kilometres. The rock exposed by erosion is about 2 billion years old, according to measurements. The geological structure is part of the Grand Staircase.
Despite its great width, the other side of the canyon is easily visible from almost any point. This is due to the extremely low humidity in the desert-like area, which makes light absorption here extremely low.
The walls of the Grand Canyon are streaked reddish due to the different compositions of the layers in the succession. The red rock of the Grand Canyon is appreciated at its most beautiful just after sunrise and just before sunset. It is therefore often recommended to visit the Canyon around these times.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
