One of the most breathtaking aspects of the Grand Canyon, for me, is the constantly shifting light and shadow, and the way they play almost like a movie on the canyon's colorful cliffs and rock forms. This late afternoon landscape is part of a series I photographed during one of my seasons working in the park's concessions. To me, these stark contrast between earth and sky are evocative of the awesome power of nature. They speak to my soul, instilling in me a deep sense of awe. I hope this will bring such emotions to your mind, as well, as we all need to be inspired by such places and to feel the need to preserve them for future generations.
