Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Got out of hand’ by Maik Weidemann

This work is entitled ‘Aus dem Ruder gelaufen’ – and it is precisely this dynamic that unfolds on the canvas. A fantastical, almost dreamlike world bursts forth amidst a hooded figure, surreal creatures such as the winged seahorse and a snail with large eyes. The painting undoubtedly holds a deeper message within its high-contrast facets. What that message is, however, is deliberately left open. Every viewer is invited to discover their own thoughts, feelings and interpretations within this scene and to explore exactly what has gone awry here.
The work was created in 2023 using acrylic paints and measures 60×80 cm.
