Autumn in northern Sweden has a magic all of its own - and around Myrkulla Lodge this is particularly impressive. The low sun bathes the landscape in a warm, golden light that dances on the calm waters of the lakes. The mosquitoes of summer have disappeared, but nature remains alive: Mushrooms sprout on the forest floor, the leaves glow in bright red and orange, and the first auroras appear in the clear night sky.
This shot captures the moment when the sun disappears on the horizon and the magical light plays with the last colours of the day. The autumnal mood invites you to pause and take a deep breath - a feeling of stillness, space and a deep connection to nature. For me, this time of year is the most beautiful time in northern Sweden: intense, calm, clear - and full of little wonders.
