Golden Striped Rest by Retrotimes

Golden Striped Rest shows a zebra as you rarely see it: not as a wild animal in motion, but as a tranquil symbol of balance and dignity. The animal is constructed from flowing lines of gold and soft cream tones, in which the familiar stripes transform into a rhythmic pattern of mosaic, spirals and ornaments. The zebra does not look away out of fear or alertness, but seems consciously present, calm and untouchable.

This work plays with the tension between nature and decoration. Whereas the zebra is normally associated with raw simplicity and herd instinct, here it takes on an almost ceremonial appearance. The gold elevates the animal without alienating it; rather, it reinforces the elegance that has always been inherent in its form. The subtle background allows the subject to breathe and prevents the wealth of detail from becoming overwhelming.

The lines are careful and meditative. Each stripe seems to have been placed with intention, as if the pattern is not only visual but also meaningful. The combination of organic forms and geometric accents suggests order within freedom — a harmony that is not imposed but arises naturally. The animal's gentle gaze forms the emotional anchor of the work: this is not an illustration, but an encounter.

Golden Striped Tranquillity fits perfectly into interiors where tranquillity and refinement are central. The work exudes stability without becoming static and luxury without ostentation. A timeless work of art that invites you to slow down, look and re-appreciate what is often taken for granted.
