The work is predominantly caramel in color with darker, almost chocolate-like accents. The image has a clear center, from which waves to the edges propagate like the vibration of a gong (hence the title). The image gives an impression of symmetry, which is nevertheless clearly not really there either.
The image is abstract and does not depict any obvious objects, but it does arouse many associations with different objects and phenomena. About the bottom half is a reflection in water with small waves, with the larger 'gong' waves from the center superimposed on them.
The image gives a warm, sweet and slightly mysterious impression. The details are very fine, and a little different each time.
The image was created based on the ManyNova fractal and was entirely created and shaped by computer through selection of coordinates, zoom factor, display parameters, choice of color palette and specific filters. Until the Golden Gong was created as it is today.
