Glücksburg Castle in Schleswig-Holstein.
This castle is one of the most important Renaissance castles in northern Europe.
The castle was the headquarters of the ducal house of Glücksburg and served as the temporary main residence of the Danish royal family. The building stands in the town of Glücksburg, located in northern Germany on the Flensburg Firth. The structure is a water castle. The ducal house of Glücksburg took its name from the castle and its relatives are related to almost all European dynasties.
Today, the castle is one of the most famous sights in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The castle houses a museum that is open to everyone.
