Gloster Gladiator double-decker. registration: N 5903.The Gloster Gladiator is a British double-decker fighter aircraft. It was used by the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm (Sea Gladiator variant) and was exported to a number of other air forces in the late 1930s. The aircraft was the RAF's last double-decker fighter and was already overtaken by newer types such as the Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire when it was introduced.
Although it was often used against more advanced fighters during the early days of World War II, it managed to fare reasonably well in combat. This picture was taken on 9 July 2016 during the Flying Legends airshow at Duxford Airfield.
