Tips for use

About ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring in bright colours’ by Jole Art

A modern version of Johannes Vermeer's portrait of the Girl with the Pearl Earring on a background of Delft blue tiles in bright colours of red, pink and orange.

The link between the tiles and the portrait is that both were made in Delft, and coincidentally in the exact same period. Hence the delft blue tiles as the background. The silver letters form the word Pearl. On the one hand because of the pearl in the painting, of course, and on the other because a poll not so long ago showed that this was considered the most beautiful painting ever made in the Netherlands. The original painting (an acrylic-painted portrait on a printed background on canvas) is available directly from the artist in sizes 1.00 x 1.00 m and 1.30 x 1.30 m. The other print forms and all possible sizes can be ordered via this site.
