Many of the trees in my images have now disappeared and this is no excepting I am. Some trees in this scene are still there, but the scene as I managed to capture at this particular early winter morning no longer exists. It is a great reminder to cherish these moments and to realize that life is forever changing. This picture was created right before my own life changed forever. This scene installed in me such a huge sense of awe. The magic of the fog in combination with some light was breathtakingly beautiful. I created the image, but the experience was what was important. Photography is not about consuming the landscape, willing it into what we want it to be, it is about being there, immersing yourself in it and savoring moments like these
