About "Gateway to the World"

About the artwork

The Railway Museum in the former Maliebaanstation on the Oosterspoorweg in Utrecht. Originally this 1874 building was an official railway station. This station was closed in 1939, and in 1954 it opened the Railroad Museum, which, back the, was still officially called Dutch Railroad Museum. The museum contains a large collection of locomotives and traincarrages, and other historical railroad equipment. Despite the fact that the Maliebaan station no longer exists, the Railway Museum can be reached during opening hours with the Museumtrain. At the Maliebaan stop, the visitor is dropped smack in the middle of the museum.
The Maliebaanstation is a national monument.
The title of this work was derived from the fact that a train station in the 19th century was also called the gateway to the world. This work is performed in black and white as part of the Modern History series.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
