Galleria Sciarra was built from 1885 to 1888 as a courtyard for Palazzo Sciarra Colonna and is just a two-minute walk from the famous Trevi Fountain. The frescoes were painted by Giuseppe Cellini in the Art Nouveau style. In order to preserve the paintings, they were restored in the 1970s. Among the beautiful flourish details of flowers and vines, the iconographic theme of the "Glorificazione della Donna" is presented to illustrate feminine virtues such as justice, patience, fidelity and strength, dedicated to the glorification of women.
