On a rainy afternoon in Kyoto, I ventured to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, eager to photograph the iconic torii gates. The weather kept most visitors away, leaving only a few people at the shrine. The rain left droplets clearly visible on the gates, adding a layer of texture to the vibrant color. Despite — or perhaps because of — the rain, the scene was more magical than I could have imagined, capturing the tranquil beauty of this sacred space.
