Fury
This painting of a prancing horse was inspired by a small sketch I had lying around for years but thought too beautiful to throw away. I finally decided to enlarge it to make it into a painting.
Whimsical lines are apt but also suggest movement, power and speed.
Almost all my works I start with a sketch first anyway. Then I make the background first finally I mount the horse over the background. I chose this working method to carefully achieve the right effect.
Finally, the final result is digitally post-processed for the reproduction of Werk aan de muur
Art should surprise, inspire and for me, being allowed to make art is not work but oxygen why I live.
With creative greetings Joan
