The Binnenpolder in the outskirts of the Brabant village of Terheijden (municipality of Drimmelen) is a peat meadow area originally created between the 13th and 15th centuries by cutting peat. In 2006 and 2007, the nutrient-rich upper layer was removed to restore the original biotope. The 120 ha nature reserve is managed by the Forestry Commission.
