From the Spooksteeg in Amsterdam.
Your photographer is standing on the little bridge of the Spooksteeg, looking at the back of the houses on the Zeedijk.
In July 1753, a terrible moaning, complaining and shouting sounded over the Zeedijk in Amsterdam. The residents lay shivering in their beds. House searches by the sheriff and his rascals came to nothing. Exactly a century later, in 1853, there was another sound at the same spot. As if a painful voice was screaming through a ship's caller". Again, no source of the sound could be found. What is the origin of the scary sound, that sounded twice over the Zeedijk?
It has to do with Helena and Dina.
Look it up!
