For years, I went out to capture the little critters, including butterflies, full-frame. A prerequisite is, getting up early.
Lately, I have been leaning more and more towards ambience, capturing the subject in its natural environment.
And of course without disturbing the surroundings and with natural light, no lights.
In this case, a butterfly in the bushes near a former zinc site. I find the fragile stems traversing the image combined with the subject in the spotlight atmospheric.
