In this painting, the Sarek National Park is interpretatively depicted, inspired by a visit to Sweden. The artist made sketches on site, which were later transformed into this painting in the Berlin studio. A conscious decision was made not to be absolutely faithful to reality, and instead a creative and free interpretation of the motif was made.
The decision to interpret the motif freely enables the viewer to immerse himself in a world that is somewhat shaped by artistic imagination. The painting invites the viewer to experience the beauty and diversity of the National Park in a new way. Through this creative freedom, the viewer is given space to bring their own thoughts and emotions into the painting, which can lead to a personal and unique relationship with the artwork.
Using sketches as a starting point gives the painting a certain liveliness and authenticity, as it is based on real impressions and observations. At the same time, the free interpretation allows for an artistic freedom that allows the motif to be depicted in new and unexpected ways. Overall, the painting creates a link between the real world and the creative imagination, inviting the viewer to lose himself in this unique work of art and discover his own meanings in it.
