Fragmented surreal portrait of a woman

by AidasignArt

At the centre of this surreal work, the face of a woman materialises – an apparition between presence and dissolution. Her light brownish-golden, shimmering eyes are wide open, intense, almost unwavering. They fixate on the viewer with an intensity that is both attractive and unsettling.

This face is flanked by fragmented reflections of itself: only half faces appear on the left and right, as if identity and perception were in motion. A green eye on one side, a blue eye on the other – subtle shifts that suggest difference and polyphony.

Streaky, veil-like structures run through the composition. They resemble flowing hair or immaterial membranes that separate and connect at the same time. Four smaller, isolated eyes appear in these spaces – observers without bodies, silent witnesses to an inner and outer fragmentation.

The colour scheme of magenta and red tones gives the image a pulsating, almost organic atmosphere. It oscillates between warmth and restlessness, between seduction and latent tension.

The work is part of a series of surreal pieces that deal with perception, identity and the fragility of the self. It invites us to focus not only on the visible, but also on those fleeting transitions in which reality, memory and imagination overlap.
