A Fouga CM-170 Magister of the Belgian Air Force. The Fouga CM-170 Magister was developed in the early 1950s as a light twin-engine fighter/trainer for the French Air Force (ALA) by France's Air Fouga. The aircraft featured two back-to-back seats in a pressurised cockpit. The aircraft was characterised by a V-shaped tail section. It became a commercial success partly because it could be used as a trainer and a lightly armed day fighter. Consequently, the Fouga Magister was sold to many countries. The Fouga Magister was in service with the air forces of Algeria, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Finland, France, West Germany, Ireland, Cambodia, Lebanon, Morocco, Rwanda, El Salvador, Togo and Uganda.
