This P153, which came into use in the summer of 1970, was exclusively allocated to Pedro Rodriguez. He drove the car to eight Grands Prix with a second in the United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen as his best result. Following his contemporary racing career, it was retained by BRM until the assets of the defunct company were auctioned off in the early 1980s. Chassis P153/05 was purchased by Tom Wheatcroft for his fabulous Donington Grand Prix collection. It was eventually restored to full running order by specialists Hall & Hall. In the first half of the 2010s it was sold to a private enthusiast. It is still maintained by Hall & Hall and has since appeared at selected events. Among them was the 2018 Monaco Historic, where it was driven by former Bentley factory driver Andy Soucek.
