This is a close up of the fruiting fluff of a dandelion. We all know those fluffy fruits from our childhood. A little white ball on a stalk, and that ball, the flower head, is full of those fluffy flowers. If you then blow against it, the fuzz is released and flies with the wind. These are those fuzzies. They are still on the flower head of the dandelion. The fruit fluff is dispersed by the wind and on their journey they also take a nut with seeds for dispersal. After all, that's what it's all about. I used a flash to make the fluff light up nicely.
