About ‘Flooded with light’ by Nordlicht Atelier

This photograph focuses on the simple and timeless aesthetics of Venetian architecture. The centrepiece is a section of old, characterful masonry, whose texture is particularly emphasised by the black-and-white image. The highlight is the historic windows, through which the soft daylight seems to shimmer from the inside out or makes the glass glow. I was inspired by the tranquillity that these walls exude – they tell stories of centuries, while the light brings a moment of liveliness to the rigid material. The atmosphere of the image is meditative, calm and profound. It conveys the message that beauty often lies in simplicity and the hidden. Technically, the focus is on the reproduction of textures: the contrast between the rough stone, the crumbling plaster and the soft light reflection in the windows creates an almost haptic image depth. The deliberate reduction to greyscale directs the viewer's attention away from colour and towards pure form and structure.

In an interior setting, this work acts as an elegant anchor point that brings calm to the room. It is ideal for minimalist living concepts or rooms dominated by natural materials such as wood or stone. As part of a series, it complements the more lively street photography scenes with an architectural component and lends every wall a cultivated, historical touch.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
