Fishing vessels moored in front of the fish auction. Fort island in the background the fish market hidden behind the ships.
The boat to England just left for me the moment to take the picture.
The offices hidden behind the fish market the peace in the harbor.
During our walk through IJmuiden we passed the harbor and it was late in the afternoon. I saw the ships moored at the quay. With that beautiful cloudy sky I saw a lot of peace in the harbor that I wanted to capture.
Raw and the port as it is, the people who work there. I like to photograph the images I see there because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
There were some other ships in the way so I had to look for another good angle. and so I came to this picture.
