Melancholy. With a warm spring sunshine, the green grain and a view towards Vaals thinking of my painter buddy Antonie van Gelder and my newly discovered landscape painter Simon Borst. Sitting in the Heuvelland, in the extreme south of the country, watching the valley while Antonie occasionally sits in his hometown Zalk painting and Simon in the North Holland puts his colours on canvas. Three totally different landscapes, 3 totally different experiences, musings, 3 totally different painters and yet with the same enthusiasm. Top!
