In Germany, the Cinquecento was also called a "Rennsemmel".
The "Cinquecento" Fiat Nuova 500 was built from 1957 - 1977 and had 470 to 525 kg. The engine had 14 to 21 HP. The fresh air only came in through hinged windows, because the windows were not equipped with cranks to lower them. Therefore it had been built with a folding roof. In the hot Italy a quite good compensation, where daily average temperatures around 40° degrees in summer are quite normal.
