A large part of my childhood was spent in the village of Eijsden. This is a village under the smoke of Maastricht, in the southernmost tip of the Netherlands, in South Limburg.
I still like to go to Eijsden to walk through the picturesque streets and to photograph.
The river Maas is a favorite subject.
What I still find a funny fact is that the border with Belgium is in the middle of the Maas.
The ferry in the picture is in Eijsden, Netherlands, on the other side of the Maas lies Lanaye, Belgium.
Besides my love for water and picturesque villages and cities, I also love the golden hour. It gives photos a warm glow and a soft atmosphere.
