About the artwork

Summers that are getting hotter, more intense. The heat is intoxicating and clenching. Nature's lushness shrivels and casts a shadow of uncertainty over the future.

Is it possible to picture this feeling I had last summer? I did want to push the darker thoughts a little more into the background after all, summer still evokes a sense of freedom, fun, warmth and, above all, holiday.

This image shows in part the symbolism of my thoughts. A living room in an old Victorian style with modern twist by the presence of shiny and glossy cushions on the sofa.
In the room, flowers bloom in all their lush splendour but amidst this floral splendour an image of a flooded room. The sea rises higher and higher until it enters our homes.

Despite the serious touch, it is a beautiful image with lovely colour combination with a touch of absurdism.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
