About ‘Falshöft Lighthouse – Baltic Sea coast’ by Frans Nijland

On the picturesque Baltic Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein stands the distinctive Falshöft lighthouse, which has been a landmark for seafarers for over a century. The cast-iron tower was built between 1908 and 1910 and served as a navigational and leading light for ships entering the mouth of the Flensburg Fjord. It also warned of treacherous sandbanks and shoals along the coast. With the advent of modern GPS navigation, the lighthouse lost its maritime function and its light was finally extinguished in 2002. Today, the tower is a much-loved monument and vantage point, where history and nature come together.
In the foreground, sheep graze peacefully in the green coastal landscape, whilst curious lambs playfully skip through the grass. Their carefree presence forms a wonderful contrast to the sturdy lighthouse, which for years braved the elements to guide sailors safely along the coast.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
