The rocky cove called Cala Moraig enchants with its sandy beach, turquoise water and steep cliffs. It is located at the foot of the Puig de la Llorença mountain, better known as Cumbre del Sol.
Not far from Cala Moraig, the path leads to an extraordinary rock. The Falla del Moraig is a rock fault that sits over a lagoon. Access to the underground river Riu Blanc is also in this area. If you stand directly in front of the fault, the large rock fracture and the view down into the depths are impressive. In addition, the rock is very interesting for geologists, because it was formed at the time when the Iberian Peninsula and Africa separated and the Mediterranean Sea was formed.
This photograph is dedicated to the imposing rock formations and relaxing ambiance of the northern Costa Blanca in Spain. A coastal landscape on the Mediterranean that is meant to ignite holiday feelings and wanderlust.
My work is inspired by long hikes along the Mediterranean coast. When I walk along the sea and let my gaze wander into the distance, the feelings of serenity and freedom are omnipresent. This rocky landscape on the Mediterranean is destined to bring some of the magic of the Costa Blanca into your four walls.
