About ‘Fairy Pools in Scotland’ by Aljan Scholtens

In winter 2017, I took a solo trip to Scotland to explore areas and take photos. This drizzly day on Isle of Skye, I wanted to end at the Fairy Pools. During the walk from the car park, day tourists walked back, leaving me with the area to myself a little later. Always nice to have such a location to yourself during the finest hours. Although it was questionable whether there would be any light at all due to the moderate weather.

After walking for a while, I think I am there, but I am disappointed. It looks like the path ends, but this doesn't feel right yet. So I walk on for a bit more. And after less than a minute of walking I arrive at this scene, a beautiful spot with the waterfall as foreground, the mountain as background, and the sky has colour too.

I set my camera very low on my tripod to get a nice perspective and take the picture.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
