Old and brittle grey beech trees in misty and mossy mountain forest. When we drove on a mountain road I all of a sudden spotted this and I just had to get out of the car. This is not always an easy thing to do on narrow mountain roads and more often than not, my husband drops me off and then turns the car somewhere safe and then drives slowly to find me again. These areas often don't have a mobile network available, so this can be a bit tricky. The almost turquoise colored fog was so mysterious and is the result of the pine trees that are in the background. These very brittle trees looked they could snap off any minute, which two years later, they did. The whimsical shapes make this forest come alive though and make this into a true enchanted forest
