About "Evening light on the mountain Gaustatoppen in Norway"

About the artwork

The most beautiful mountain in all of Norway, the Gaustatoppen, is located in the province of Telemark. The mountain is not only the most beautiful mountain, but also the highest in the province with 1883 meters.

The photo was taken from the ski area northeast of the Gaustatoppen, about 5 km away. We sat there in a hotel and enjoyed the long and beautiful evening light that shone on the mountain. The rugged mountainside, decorated with remnants of snow, was so beautifully and softly lit. The photo was taken at half past ten in the evening and it remains an unreal experience that it is still so light at that time.

It is recommended to go up the mountain. At the top you have a beautiful and grand view. You can see one sixth of the mainland of Norway there, about 60,000 km2. You look out on a stony landscape, a number of lakes and many beautiful mountain peaks in the wider area.

There are several ways to achieve that view. You can choose from a number of hiking routes to the top, which differ in difficulty. It is also possible to take a train in the mountain to the top. Or to descend from the top to the starting station.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
