About the artwork

In the Groningen village of Onderdendam, the old windmill reflects in the calm waters of the Boterdiep. The sun slowly sinks behind the horizon, enveloping the village in warm gold and soft pink, as the last light glides over the roofs and the wooden boat on the shore.

This photo captures the tranquillity of a summer evening in a characteristic Groningen village, where time meets silence. The historic mill forms the heart of the image - a symbol of diligent work and the age-old bond between man, water and wind. The reflection in the still water enhances the sense of harmony and balance this moment exudes.

The shot exudes the atmosphere of the north: open, down-to-earth and peaceful, with a hint of nostalgia. An ode to the Groningen landscape and village life along the water.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
