ENCI marlstone quarry in Maastricht. The sandstone layers (Cretaceous Sea) of the excavated Sint Pietersberg were used for almost a century of cement industry. The first Dutch Cement Industry closed this open-cast mine in 2020. Now it is a very beautiful nature reserve based on the Limburg Landscape.
