About "Evening glow on the Damrak"

About the artwork

Amsterdam continues to surprise me time and again. On this evening I set off again, packed with my camera and tripod, towards the heart of the city. My destination: the Damrak, where the characteristic canal houses line up like a line of guards along the water.

It was the blue hour, that magical moment between day and night. The facades were warmly lit, the boats were silent, and the water was so smooth that it reflected the city like a perfect mirror. From my chosen vantage point, I got exactly the symmetry and depth I had envisioned.

At home, I carefully post-processed the photo, keeping the warm glow and rich detail. Thus, the atmosphere of that evening remains palpable, as if you were standing on the quay yourself.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
