About the artwork

The picture shows a dense, two-dimensional image of the plant Euphorbia helioscopia, also known as solstice spurge. In the centre are the small, roundish inflorescences with a yellowish-green colour and reddish tips. They are surrounded by oval, lush green leaves that are evenly distributed across the entire picture. The composition deliberately dispenses with depth of field or background - the focus is entirely on the structure and colour of the plant.

The inspiration for this work was the often overlooked beauty of native wild plants. Euphorbia helioscopia is not a spectacular flower in the classical sense, but it has a clear, almost graphic order that appealed to me visually. The aim was to capture this quiet presence in a calm but detailed depiction.

The atmosphere is matter-of-fact, almost botanical - but not cool. The picture invites you to take a closer look and discover the diversity in the small things. The message: even the inconspicuous deserves attention.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
