About "Erfurt - Fish market - Christmas - Tram"

About the artwork

The picture shows the Erfurt fish market at Christmas time in a nocturnal scene. In the centre is a tram, whose movement is made visible as a trail of light by a long exposure. The surrounding historic buildings are festively lit, with illuminated windows and Christmas decorations. The cobbled street and a planted tub in the foreground lend depth and structure to the scene. Blurred passers-by hint at urban life without overloading the moment.

The fish market is a central square in Erfurt's old town, characterised by magnificent town houses and in the immediate vicinity of the town hall. Especially at Christmas time, this place becomes an atmospheric meeting point between past and present.

My inspiration was to combine the dynamism of the urban space with the tranquillity of the architecture. The long exposure makes it possible to visualise movement without disturbing the composition. The aim was to achieve a balanced depiction of light, structure and urban atmosphere.

The image conveys a sense of festive vibrancy in a historical context. In an interior setting, it acts as an urban accent with depth - ideal for spaces seeking a combination of tradition, movement and modern imagery.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
