Vincent Ferrier was a priest of the Dominican order, born January 23, 1350 near Valence (Crown of Aragon) and died April 5, 1419 in Vannes (Brittany).
After the many miracles on his tomb attributed to him, the Duke of Brittany Jean V (1399-1442) asked for canonization of the Dominican . The research for his canonization recognizes 873 miracles as authentic.
Elevated to heaven because of his zeal and the miraculous feats bestowed upon him, he was nicknamed "the shining star of Spain, the light of Valencia, the miracle of the universe, the model of the Dominicans" or "the glory" glorified saints" when the Jews of the time called him "Mummar" or "the Apostate" because of what he had done to them.
