About ‘Erasmus Bridge Rotterdam’ by Lydia Hoogland

As evening slowly falls over the city, the Erasmus Bridge transforms into a silent storyteller. Daylight retreats, giving way to a soft, deep blue haze that envelops everything. The bridge stands there - powerful and calm at the same time - as if guarding the transition from day to night.

Lights begin to twinkle along the quay, cars'glide across the road surface like streaks of light, and the water under the bridge reflects the last glow of the sky. It is a moment when the city slows down and yet is full of expectation. As if the night invites new thoughts, new dreams.

The lines of the bridge stand out sharply against the twilight. There is harmony in the design, in the way steel and air seem to breathe together. It is no ordinary transition from light to dark; it is a scene full of atmosphere, stillness and softness.

This work on the wall captures exactly that moment: the quiet you only feel when the day is just audible, but the night is already almost speaking. A reminder of the importance of standing still for a moment - in the middle of movement, in the middle of the city, in the middle of life.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
