About the artwork

Arriving in Hoek van Holland from the UK always offers a feeling of coming home. This photo captures the beautiful view from the ferry on a clear day with calm weather. In the foreground is the Queen Emma Boulevard, an iconic spot in Hook of Holland. Behind it stretches the Seinpad, with its charming white houses with red roofs defining the skyline of this historic coastal town.

It was a perfect day with an enchanting cloud cover and soft sunlight. The addition of a seagull that happens to fly through the frame gives the shot a dynamic and authentic character, completing the picture. This photo is part of the Villa Joep Collection 2022, an initiative to contribute to charity through photography. My entire commission on the sale of this photo will be donated to Villa Joep Foundation, which works to fight childhood neuroblastoma cancer.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
