About the artwork
"Abstract close - up from nature" is an extreme macro photo of a very small piece of nature. This part is so small that you hardly recognise what it is.
The globules you see spread all over the photo are very small water droplets suspended in the "fluff web" of a fluff ball (of a Tragopogon). A Tragopogon is also called "Morgenster" in the Netherlands. Because of the extreme close - up (which is possible by means of special techniques and lenses, among other things), you don't easily recognise the subject of the photo, because you can't see it that way with the naked eye. And because it is only such a small piece, a form of abstraction takes place.
The background is turquoise (early dew) in colour, which together with the almost golden lines of the fluff makes for a beautiful colour combination. The water droplets provide a special effect to the photo, some of the droplets enlarge part of what lies behind them in the sphere. This magnifies some parts in the small drops.
For example, this photo could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the bedroom, kitchen or just above the sofa! (Of course also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a waiting room or practice room!)
