About ‘EPO II Rijswijk’ by Bart van Hoek
The northwest facade of the European Patent Office on Patentlaan in the Plaspoelpolder in Rijswijk. The large narrow glass disc-shaped building is visible from the A4 motorway. The 27-storey building with 85,000 m2 of floor space is only 24 metres wide. It was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and Dutch architect Diederik Dam.
